May 2010 saw the publication of Oma Leni's own story - writing a book at the age of 93 is a huge achievement!  With the help of various members of the family and a cover designed by Nick Potter and Geoff Woodcock, the delightful 78 page book with appropriate photos was an immediate hit with all who have so far read it. here.Family News Page

Margreet de Bres

Born 30th April 1950

Married to Neil Simpson in 1973 – they have lived in Outram, which is a small township out of Dunedin since 1975
Margreet trained as a Registered Nurse and is currently working as a Specialist Breast Care Nurse with the National Screening Programme.

Neil is Chief Air Traffic Controller at Dunedin Airport.

Their Family:

Melanie was born in 1975 – she went to university and obtained a law degree but at present is fully occupied as a Mum at home in Mosgiel (near Dunedin) with three little ones. She is married to Geoff Woodcock and they have their own computer business.

Their 3 children are: Jacob - born 12 March 2002
Keziah - born 16 January 2004
Gabrielle (Gabby) - born 24 November 2005

Sandy was born in 1977 – she graduated from Otago Polytechnic with a degree in Occupational Therapy. She is also now a full time Mum at home and has two little girls. Her husband is Anthony Watt who works as a Pastor in Christchurch
Their 2 children are: Hanna -born 19 October 2002
Olivia -born 15 December 2004

Roger the youngest was born in 1982 and is an electrician in Christchurch. He is still single and living life to the full.
‘The other baby’ is the Glastar. This is the homebuilt plane that took up 4 years of Neil’s life to construct!!
The photo of John, Hanna and Margreet was taken on holiday in the Marlborough Sounds January 2006. The one of Grandma with Sandy and Olivia was taken during the Christmas Break 2005.
